// As a Graduate Communications Design student at Pratt Institute, my thesis research validated the role of traditional children’s picture books as a fundamental tool in child development and a profoundly meaningful
form of visual communication. I discovered unique advantages and limitations of both print and digital media
and proposed to integration and coexistence of both platforms.
// For my design solution, I pushed the boundaries of the book format and created a product that could not be reproduced digitally because the structure of the book itself is integrated with the characters and narrative.
// Meet Sam, a young boy, and his buddy Marlowe, a hungry monster. Together, they embark on many wild adventures–over, under, all around–but Marlowe’s appetite is relentless and a conflict ensues as he begins
to literally eat the pages of this picture book.
