Student Library

The Reading Grove digital library and e-reader promotes literacy by providing students with a teacher-supported reading practice, a growing library of books, and custom recommendations based on their interests and reading level. They can expand their knowledge by exploring eight thematic treehouses including: Top Picks, Our World, Wacky, Ancient, Science, Fantasy, Adventure, and Nature. Each student's curiosity and interests can lead the way to new books and fascinating discoveries.

Book Selection

Students are provided with a wide variety of books choices that either meet their reading level or offer a reasonable challenge. When students log in, they are greeted with three custom book recommendations, which include any books they have in progress. A preview window will show a summary of the book so that students can make an informed decision about what they want to read. They can also see if the book was recommended by their teacher.

Reading Experience

The e-reader offers students a comfortable reading experience and clear navigation system. In "My Books" students can access their in-progress, saved, and completed book collections. At the end of each book, they are prompted to rate their reading experience to provide helpful information to their teacher and help customize future book recommendations.

Teachers Dashboard

Teachers have access to a robust classroom management tool that allows them to assign individual or group book recommendations. The system helps teachers provide their students with more targeted reading opportunities, engaging books, and meaningful supports. Teachers can also track specific data related to each book the student reads as well as each student's cumulative reading progress, book list, Lexile level, and ratings.
